About the Muslim Day of Nisfu Syaaban

DESCRIPTION:
Nisfu Syaaban is an Islamic observance. Muslims believe this is the night when the fortunes of each person for the coming year are decided, and God forgives sins.
In some cultures within the Islamic world, this is also a night when one's ancestors are honored.
PLEASE NOTE:
Islamic holidays are determined in Mecca by the moon's position and can occur a day earlier or later than posted.
