About National Osteoporosis Prevention Month

DESCRIPTION:
The National Osteoporosis Foundation sponsors National Osteoporosis Month each May. It is a national awareness-building and fundraising initiative calling on women and men to start conversations about bone health and family history as the first step toward protecting themselves and future generations from osteoporosis.
In honor of National Osteoporosis Month, health professionals, osteoporosis educators, patients, caregivers, and advocates are asked to join the conversation.
National Osteoporosis Month also occurs in Canada each November.
International Osteoporosis Day occurs in mid-October.
