Four Prunes Day highlights the health benefits of dried plums known as prunes. Eating four prunes a day is believed to slow the aging process of the brain and body, help in cases of anemia and help promote average blood circulation. Prunes are considered a remedy for sore throats and contain high amounts of beta carotene, fiber, and sorbitol, a stool loosening sugar. They are an excellent source of vitamin A, potassium, and iron.
