DESCRIPTION:
Created in 1987 by the National Consortium for Academics and Sports, Nations Student-Athlete Day celebrates high school and college-age athletes and their positive effects on their schools, lives, and communities. Athletes must maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher to be honored on this day. Since the day's inception, nearly five million student-athletes have been honored.
