About the Jewish Day of Shabbat HaGadol

DESCRIPTION:
Shabbat HaGadol, or the "Great Shabbat," is the Saturday celebrated immediately after Passover.
Shabbat is "Sabbath" or "Saturday" in Hebrew. A Haftarah from the Book of Malachi is read on this day, a long and traditional sermon given in the afternoon.
The Jewish Shabbat begins at sundown on Friday and ends at sunset on Saturday.
PLEASE NOTE:
All Hebrew calendar months and celebrations begin and end at sundown. LEEP Calendar marks Jewish months and events on their first full day. Observant people of the faith will observe the beginning at sunset the day prior.
