Latin Grammy Awards is an event usually held in November.
Sponsored by the Latin Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, this event highlights the works and achievements in the Latin music industry performed in Spanish and Portuguese.
Members make selections and nominations for the Latin music industry.
Conceived in 1989 by Michael Greene, Rudy Perez, and Mauricio Abaroa, the Latin Grammy Awards represent the broad diversity of Latin music.
The first Latin Grammy Awards ceremony occurred at the Staples Center, Los Angeles, California, on September 13, 2000.
The actual date of this event is announced a couple of months before the event.
