Initiated in 2019, National Sons Day resulted from the work of Jill Nico, who hopes to encourage parents to discuss and seek ways to improve their children's experience growing up. September 25 is National Daughters Day. Nico thought it was about time there was a sons' day too, and chose March 4 because it is March, and she enjoys the number four. Social media made it so.
