Held annually on the birthday of nursing pioneer Dr. Margretta Made Styles RN EdD, FAAN, Dr. Styles led the initiative to create standardized professional certification in the nursing field. The 1954 Yale alumna was born on March 19, 1930, and died on November 20, 2005.
