About Reye's Syndrome Awareness Month

September is the Reye's Syndrome Awareness Month.
Reye's Syndrome is a rapidly progressive encephalopathy. Symptoms include vomiting, personality changes, confusion, seizures, and a loss of consciousness.
Reye's Syndrome is a severe medical condition that needs immediate treatment, and responding is the key to full recovery. The main problem is that healthcare professionals have very little awareness of the serious disease. Hospitals and other healthcare sector providers are urged to schedule activities for Reye's Syndrome Awareness Month.
