About National Liver Awareness Month

DESCRIPTION:
National Liver Awareness Month is devoted to the importance of liver health. The month focuses on the causes and treatments for liver diseases including hepatitis A, B and C, cirrhosis, biliary atresia and liver cancer. The American Liver Foundation also addresses the alarming increase in the incidence of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD), which affects nearly 25 percent of Americans.
Canada holds their Liver Disease Awareness Month in March.
