DESCRIPTION:
Rett Syndrome Awareness Month raises awareness about the dangers and damage of Rett Syndrome, a unique postnatal neurotic disorder first recognized in infancy and usually in girls. It's a condition that's often misdiagnosed as autism, cerebral palsy or non-specific developmental delay. It strikes worldwide in one of every ten thousand female births.
