About the Hindu Day of Maha Saptami

DESCRIPTION:
Maha Saptami is the seventh day of the grand Durga Puja celebration and commences with the eyes of the goddess Durga opening on this day.
Mahalaya is performed on this day and the final countdown of Durga puja starts from Maha Saptami. Devotees offer flowers and prayers and also keep fast on the day of Maha Saptami.
In the evening, a grand arti is performed to goddess Durga in Pandals and at home.
