Four Prunes Day seeks to highlight the health benefits of dried plums known as prunes. Eating four prunes a day is believed to slow the aging process of the brain and body, help in cases of anemia and help promote normal blood circulation. Prunes are considered a remedy for sore throats and contain high amounts of beta carotene, fiber and sorbitol, a stool loosening sugar. Plus, they are an excellent source of vitamin A, potassium and iron.
So to celebrate the day, grab some prunes, four to be exact. Better yet, make it a habit each and every day.
