International Stuttering Awareness Week has been observed since 1998. The purpose is to raise awareness of the millions of people who struggle with stuttering, nearly one percent of the world's population.

Substantial stigma surrounds stutterers. This day and week aim to correct that while providing tools that help stutters leave stuttering behind for good!
