International Stuttering Day is a part of the International Stuttering Awareness Week, both observed since 1998. The purpose of each is to raise awareness about the millions of people who struggle with stuttering, nearly one percent of the world's population. Substantial stigma surrounds stutterers. This day and week aim to correct that while providing tools that help stutters leave stuttering behind for good!
