DESCRIPTION:
October 30, 1938 Orson Wells broadcast his audio play The War of The Worlds. The play was so convincing, thousands of people believed they were being invaded from outer space. As television took over from radio as the primary form of entertainment, the lost art of the audio play seemed to disappear...until recently. Audio books have brought back this lost art and are making it even more popular than it was in the 1920s, 30s and 40s. What's old is new again.
Audio Drama Day first ran in 2012.
