Initiated in 2007, National African-American Women's Fitness Month™ (NAAWFM) encourages health awareness, and physical activity focused on the needs of African-American women. It seeks to educate all women, focusing on women of color, about the health risks associated with a sedentary lifestyle and promote an active lifestyle.
