DESCRIPTION:
Kajari Teej (Badi Teej) is a Hindu holiday celebrated in the lunar month of Bhadrapud.
Women observe a day-long fast for their husbands. In the evening, they worship the goddess Parvati and pray for their husband's well-being and long life.
Kajari Teej is observed chiefly in the northern and eastern regions of India, including the states of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar. It is similar to Hariyali Teej, but the Kajari Teej is considered more auspicious.
