DESCRIPTION:
National Burns Awareness Month seeks to teach Australians burn prevention and the correct first aid treatment for burns. Winter is just beginning, which means increased use of candles, fireplaces, heaters, and ovens, not to mention hot water and other conveniences. Burns happen, but they happen less with precautions, and children (including adolescents) understand personal safety.
