TIME FOR A CUPPA FUNDRAISER
Launched in 2009, Dementia UK's "Time for a Cuppa" fundraiser has become a beloved annual tradition, raising awareness and funds to support families affected by dementia. The event, typically held in the first week of May, invites people across the United Kingdom to come together over tea and cakes, fostering community spirit while contributing to a crucial cause. As this is a fundraiser, Time for a Cuppa tea party can occur anytime throughout the year.
Participants in "Time for a Cuppa" host tea parties, inviting friends, family, and neighbors to their homes, workplaces, or community centers. These gatherings often feature an assortment of baked goods, from traditional scones and pastries to creative, themed cakes. Hosts are encouraged to collect donations during the event, which are then contributed to Dementia UK.
