Treating the effects of obesity worldwide is projected to cost US$1.2 trillion per year by 2025.
World Obesity Day seeks to promote healthy weight and investment in the prevention, management, and treatment of obesity. It is a call to action for governments and health services. The World Health Organization seeks to reduce global obesity by 25% by 2025. This event first ran in 2015.
