Each year in early March, we celebrate National White Chocolate Cheesecake Day.
This ancient dessert initially used just cheese, honey, and flour. Over the centuries, the recipe has evolved to include cream cheese, fresh cheese, graham crackers, and sugar. The first known cheesecakes date back to 776 BC when Olympic athletes were given cheesecakes to re-energize them before competing. Today, cheesecake is one of the most beloved desserts in the world.
