World Cocoa and Chocolate Day was created by International Cocoa Organization and the Académie Française du Chocolat et de la Confiserie in 2011 on October 1st each year.
Its purpose is to bring greater awareness to consumers and the public of the living conditions of cocoa growers worldwide and to assist in building a sustainable cocoa economy.
