DESCRIPTION:
National Liver Awareness Month is devoted to the importance of liver health. The month focuses on the causes and treatments for liver diseases, including hepatitis A, B, and C, cirrhosis, biliary atresia, and liver cancer. The American Liver Foundation also addresses the alarming increase in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), which affects nearly 25 percent of Americans.
Canada holds their Liver Disease Awareness Month in March.
