National Girl Scout Day commemorates the first Girl Scout Troop meeting on this day in 1912, attended by 18 girls. The organization's goal is to fill girls with confidence, character and courage to do what is right and help young women develop mentally, physically and spiritually.
This great organization started by Juliette Gordon has grown to over 1.8 million girls worldwide.
