The history of the runners and riders who have triumphed in the Grand National hunt horse race exemplifies human endeavor and equine fortitude.
Over 600 million people watch live on television each year as 40 horses and jockeys line up to race across the iconic obstacles, including Becher's Brook, Canal Turn, Valentine's, and The Chair.
The Grand National's nickname is "The Grandest Show—The Greatest Drama."
