About Children Impacted by a Parents Cancer Month

DESCRIPTION:
First run in 2000, Children Impacted by a Parent's Cancer Month seeks to support children and families where one or more parent is undergoing cancer treatment, living in remission or has died. The impact this has on a young life can be devastating, leading to isolation, lower academic scores and a loss of childhood. Resources are available to help children and families cope. Outreach during the month serves families, schools, health care and mental health professionals.
