DESCRIPTION:
Project Appleseed promotes National Public School Volunteer Week to encourage family and parental involvement in public school education. Several objectives play out throughout the week. It seeks to raise parents' awareness of the importance of active participation in their children's lives. Children are encouraged to see their parents as more than "parental units," and the week seeks to streamline the correlation between education and life.
