International Dance Day is celebrated annually on April 29. The date was chosen in 1982 to mark the anniversary of the birth of Jean-Georges Noverre (1727-1810). He is considered the creator of modern ballet.
This day celebrates dancing and appreciates its beauty and artistic ability to transcend political, cultural, and ethnic barriers while bringing people together.
