Created on the anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent entry into the world body as a neutral nation on December 12, 1995, International Neutrality Day seeks to support preventive diplomacy. These guiding principles include strengthening the coordination of emergency humanitarian assistance through the United Nations system. Countries with the status of neutrality play an essential role in providing and delivering humanitarian aid in complex emergencies and natural disasters. International Neutrality Day is a reminder of their importance and the need for neutral nations.
