About International Joke Day

DESCRIPTION:
International Joke Day occurs each year in July and is an opportunity for people to joke around or share the jokes they have collected over the years.
Though International Joke Day began in the United States, the tradition of telling jokes originated with the Greeks. A man named Palamedes is credited with articulating the first joke.
International Joke Day differs from April Fool’s Day; The latter happens every April and is about pranking. International Joke Day is about laughing at wit and delivery rather than hazing.
