DESCRIPTION:
Tammuz is the fourth month in the Jewish calendar and the first month of the summer season. Noted events include the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD under emperor Titus and the commencement of the destruction of the Hebrew temple over three weeks. The Three Weeks observation is a mourning period with fasting on the 9th of Av.
