DESCRIPTION:
Gastronomy is the culinary science that examines the relationship between food and culture and how to prepare appetizing, nutritious, and delicious dishes. As part of the 2030 United Nations Sustainability Goals, the United Nations sponsors Sustainable Gastronomy Day. The focus takes into account the following:
Agricultural development
Food security
Nutrition
Sustainable food production
Conservation of biodiversity
Since 2017, Sustainable Gastronomy Day has been held annually on June 18.
