May 19, 1941, Nora Ephron was born. Nora Ephron was an American journalist, essayist, playwright, screenwriter, novelist, producer, director, and blogger, best known for her romantic comedies. She was nominated three times for the Academy Award for Best Writing: for Silkwood, When Harry Met Sally, and Sleepless in Seattle. Nora died on June 26, 2012, but the day of her birth became known as the Romantic Comedy Day.
