About Chopsticks Day

DESCRIPTION:
Chopsticks have been around for some time and are believed to have originated during the Shang Dynasty (1766 - 1122 BC) and were originally used for cooking. The pointed end of the chopsticks will tell you which country they originate from. Japanese chopsticks tend to have a needle point. Chinese a square point and Korean somewhere in between.
Eating with chopsticks takes a little practice, but once mastered adds significantly to the enjoyment of Asian cuisine. National Chopsticks Day is your opportunity to show your skill and enjoy the ancient utensil.
