International Pronoun Day is an initiative of the LGBTQ+ advocacy community, and its stated purpose is to make languages more inclusive for people who do not identify as male or female and the transgender community. It aims to make the question "What are your pronouns" as typical as "Hello, my name is" and "What is your name?" in all nations, cultures, and languages of the world. International Pronoun Day urges people to include their declared pronouns next to their name in all correspondence, social media activity, and daily life. In the absence of a declaration or when referring to a group, the objective is to replace current grammatical and etiquette norms with gender-neutral terms. Examples include referring to individuals as "them" and "they" rather than he, she, him, or her in English. In foreign languages, people are urged to use an "x" rather than an "a" or "o," "e," or "i" to end words referring to groups when the noun or adjective is masculine or feminine. Pronoun declaration, the re-ordering of languages and etiquette to accommodate specific segments of society continues to be a highly controversial topic and practice in many countries. Currently, 1-2% of the global population, predominantly in Generation Z, self-identifies as non-binary, meaning they do not consider themselves to be male or female. This event was created in 2018.

Conceived by patients for patients, World Psoriasis Day is a global event that sets out to give an international voice to the more than 125 million people with psoriasis/psoriatic arthritis by raising the profile of the condition. The goals of World Psoriasis Day include: • Raising awareness: to let people with psoriasis know that they are not alone and to raise the profile of this devastating skin disease and the misery it can cause. To dispel myths about the condition, such as the mistaken view that psoriasis is contagious. • Improving access to treatment: encouraging healthcare systems, governments, physicians, carers, and all those responsible for psoriasis care to allow people with psoriasis access to optimum therapy. For too long, psoriasis/psoriatic arthritis has been a low priority, and they are debilitating diseases and must move up the healthcare agenda. • Increasing understanding: to provide information to those affected by the condition and the general public to educate people about the disease so they can discuss it more openly and confidently. • Building unity among the psoriasis community: to provide a platform from which patient voices from around the world can speak as one and be heard by key decision-makers.

Punk for a Day, Day: October 25

Be a Punk for a Day celebrates the music form known as Punk Rock. Punk rock was popularized in the late 1970s and 1980s by bands including the Sex Pistols, Ramones, The Clash, and MC5. It greatly impacted legendary artists, including Ziggy Stardust, David Bowie, Green Day, La Dispute, and Tacocat. The format is believed founded in 1966 by James Newell Osterberg, Jr., stage name Iggy Pop when he formed the Detroit garage band The Stooges. The music grew in popularity primarily due to the strange behavior and screaming lyrics, which resonated with the disaffected of the baby boomer generation of the time. The music's original purpose was to party and avert boredom. Later, it became associated with anarchy, rebellion, and rejection of the mainstream through clothing, style, and action. It's unsure at this point whether this event is marking a historical event or arbitrary. It occurred at the end of October, near The Stooges' debut concert in 1967. However, we cannot find anything significant attributed to the band or the Punk movement occurring on October 25 between 1966 and today. In all likelihood, this event was declared by fans and became an unofficial annual event.
