It includes six stages, site art, a giant children's area, comedy, theatre, family camping, licensed real ale bars from Otter Brewery & a great choice of food and craft stalls. Beautiful Days has no sponsorship or branding and does not advertise.

The Islamic calendar, also known as the Hijri calendar, is a lunar calendar used by Muslims to determine the dates of religious events and observances, including Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, and Hajj. The calendar consists of 12 months, each 29 or 30 days long, and numbers 354 or 355 days a year. Unlike the solar-based Gregorian calendar, the Islamic calendar is lunar-based, with each month beginning with the sighting of the crescent moon. The Prophet Muhammad introduced the Islamic calendar in the seventh century, and it is the official calendar in many Muslim-majority countries. Saudi Arabia uses it for civil and financial purposes but uses the Gregorian for international business, and most Muslim-majority countries use both. The twelve months of the Islamic Calendar are: 1. The Year of Mission is part of a multi-year celebration, The National Eucharistic Revival, by the Roman Catholic Church, leading to the Jubilee Year of 2025. The year begins on the first day of the National Eucharistic Congress, a gathering of 80,000+ Catholics celebrating together in faith 83 years in the making. The last congress occurred in 1941, making this a once-in-a-lifetime event for many Catholics leading into the 2025 Year of Jubilee. The Year of Mission seeks to set the tone within the faith, encouraging sharing of Christ's message and setting an example to all by following in His footsteps and teachings.

Rum, sugar, soda water, lime, and crushed mint, are the essential ingredients of the mojito, one of the summer's favorite cocktails. The drink originated in Havana, Cuba, though when is disputed. Was it in the 1500s as a cure for scurvy or later, when cocktails became commonplace in the early 20th century? Imagine life without the paper bag. We use them for lunch, insulation, doggy bags, and airline nausea reduction receptacles. They carry groceries, provide easy gift wrapping, hold fried or popped food, and can even calm us down when we're hyperventilating. They are a fantastic invention first created by Francis Wolle on August 16, 1852, and perfected by Margaret E. Knight with U.S. Patent 116,842 (Improvement in Paper-Bag Machines, July 11, 1871.) July 11 is the anniversary of the square bottom paper bag used worldwide and is, therefore, International Paper Bag Day. It is also a celebration of female inventors, of which Ms. Knight excelled.

Population Day, World (1987): July 11

World Population Day is a United Nations observance that raises awareness of the world's population and its impact on living, the world, and the environment. Sponsored and approved by the UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) in 1989, July 11 was chosen as the date to focus on the issues in the overall plans for development and solutions to the rising world population. This date marks the anniversary of the "Day of the Five Billion," on July 11, 1987. Between 1987 and 2011, the world's population increased by 40%, reaching seven billion on Halloween 2011. In late 2022 or early 2023, the world's population will reach 8 billion, with the fastest growth happening in Africa and Asia. Due to the higher than average growth rates in these two regions, Islam is expected to surpass Christianity as the world's most populous religion in 2050. With explosive population growth, global culture in the next several centuries is expected to move from a European and Western focus to Eastern and Asian. How has the population grown? In 33AD, the year Jesus Christ died, the worldwide population was estimated between 150 and 330 million, roughly the population of the United States. It would take 1600 years for that number to double to 603 million. Near 1820, the world hit one billion people, approximately the population of India today. That number would double in 110 years, hitting 2.7 billion in 1930. Fifty-seven years later, it doubled again to five billion in 1987 and will double again in fewer than 73 years (2060) to 10 billion. Source: United Nations.

Battle of the Boyne Holiday (UK)(1690): July 12

Fought on July 1, 1690, the Battle of Boyne was a decisive battle in Irish and English history. King William III, with his English and French Protestant armies, defeated King James’ army of Irish and French Catholics. This occurred on the banks of the River Boyne and halted the re-adoption of Catholicism in England. At the time, the Julian Calendar was in use rather than the Gregorian. Because of this, the holiday is marked in Northern Ireland as a celebration of Protestantism over Catholicism on its Julian date of July 12.

International Civil Disobedience Day (sometimes called "Simplicity Day") marks the anniversary of the birth of Henry David Thoreau on July 12, 1817. Thoreau was an American author, poet, philosopher, abolitionist, naturalist, tax resister, development critic, surveyor, and historian. His most famous work, "Civil Disobedience," was published in 1849. One of the most lauded writers in history, Thoreau's work has influenced generations of leaders and writers, including Mohandas Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., Martin Buber, Leo Tolstoy, John F. Kennedy, Marcel Proust, Ernest Hemingway, Upton Sinclair, Sinclair Lewis, and William Butler Yeats.
