Brother and Sister Day focuses attention on siblings and encourages all siblings to let each other know how much each cares for the other. The event was born of deep regret when a woman realized too late, after her brother died, that she had never let him adequately know how much he meant to her. Two years later, she proposed establishing a simple, non-commercial day on which brothers and sisters could make it a point to connect or reconnect, acknowledging all they share. Doctor's Day (1842): March 30

National Doctors Day celebrates the contribution of physicians. The first Doctor's Day observance was on March 30, 1933, in Winder, Georgia. It commemorates Dr. Crawford W Long's first surgical use of an anesthetic agent on March 30, 1842. Eudora Brown Almond, the wife of Dr. Charles B. Almond, decided to set aside a day to honor physicians. On October 30, 1990, President George Bush signed S.J. RES. #366 designated March 30 as National Doctor's Day.

Earth Hour: March 23

With support from the United Nations and other organizations, World Wildlife Fund has been sponsoring Earth Hour Since 2007. The event aims to raise awareness of global warming and its impact. Every year, one hour between 8:30-9:30 PM local time is dedicated to earth hour. The movement encouraged people to not only support climate projects but also help in spreading the word by ‘donating their social power’ and taking a stand against climate change on their Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Texas Loves Children Day each year raises awareness of the hidden child abuse epidemic and the shortage of resources needed to care for these children legally. In 2013 over 66,000 children were confirmed as victims of abuse or neglect in Texas. Nearly 47,000 abused and neglected children were immersed in the legal system, relying on the courts to save them and protect them from further harm. Every child removed from a home after confirmed abuse or neglect has a court case in which a court-appointed attorney represents the child, and a judge decides critical aspects of the child’s future. The system for handling these cases is overburdened and underfunded. The dedicated judges and attorneys face many obstacles, such as mounting caseloads, overburdened courts, and a severe lack of resources commonly available in other fields of law. Texas Loves Children, the charity, helps legal professionals to ensure that court decisions provide the best outcome for each child.

First observed in 1987, Ex-spouses' Day always falls on Good Friday. Created by a divorce survivor Reverend Ron Coleman of Kansas City, Missouri, as a day of reconciliation.
